I am back in Minneapolis meeting friends and checking out favorite old haunts.
What is not to love about a hipster place in Uptown, like Bryant Lake Bowl (810 W Lake St.) with outdoor stadium seating (with the one row of seats facing Lake street), a bowling alley, a theatre, a nice local beer list and pleasant small dishes. The theatre participates as a venue in the Minneapolis Fringe Festival. Yesterday the outdoor seating offered a great view of the Canadian cold front, and its billowy white clouds, passing overhead. The sidewalk was bustling with Up towner enjoying the unseasonably cool temperatures.
