Sunday afternoon started a bit on the drizzly side at Kiptopeke State Park (37.168299, -75.984627) but brightened up just after my praying to the Sun god. I suppose it must have been Huitzilpochtli, as I told the attendant children that it was a Mexican sun god to Whom I was praying. Although not too isolated, there are a couple of miles of relatively untravelled beaches, even though the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) can be seen in the distance. A convoy of pelicans flew sorties low over the water and in front of the scuppered boats protected the swimming area.
The sunset from the last turnout before the CBBT (37.122003, -75.969147) was brilliant in both directions for a half an hour.
