Mr. Turner

I just saw the movie Mr. Turner at the Westhampton Theatre, which is slated for closure and redevelopment  reportedly by the end of the year 2015.

Mr. Turner, as played gruntingly and well by Timothy Spall, painted the light at the beginning of the day more happily than at the end of the day because it remained.
His last words were reportedly “The sun is God.” According to the biopic he was a grumpy, not very friendly sort but he was working with painting light and its effects in abstract form before or in anticipation of the impressionists. A very good movie.
