Inspirational writing space

It is very important to have an inspirational space for writing, researching and reading. But the view in this space should not be so inspiring so that one gets drunk taking in the view.
It should also be quiet, ideally less than 50 dB, although this is very often hard to find as various baristas play music at different volumes. One day a public space seems quiet enough and the next day it may be too loud. Libraries are often good although some folks cannot decipher the code of a sign that reads “No cell phone use/Use cell phones in the Lobby.” Although there is only the sound of restrained conversation today at the VMFA, the SoundMeter app is giving a reading averaging 70dB. And there are those people that want to play videos for their friends in public competing with the local music.
