North Carolina State University quick trip

It was a beautiful spring day to take a quick walk across the North Carolina State University Campus. The University was closed but there were a few facilities fellows doing some work improvements, a couple of campus police cars keeping the peace, some high schoolers and their families taking tours and a small number of students wandering around the campus or leaving the gymnasium.

The new Tally Student Union (2014) is pretty spectacular with a random passerby indicating that the large tower (left above) was part of a future pedestrian walkway to span the railroad tracks.

The Free Expression tunnel smelled of spray paint as this bore, of the three railroad underpasses, is the designated place for tagging and political discourse of the graffiti kind.
