Springtime in New York, Downtown

The sky had mostly cleared after the rains, with only light fog high up the glass citadel of One World Trade Center, with workers wiping precipitation off the benches of Zucotti Park while commuters streamed past from the subway.

The red, angular Joie de Vivre statue by Mark di Suvero fits the skyscraper aesthetic surrounding the park, not demonstrating its Occupy Wall Street past. The bright veds of tulips added to the feel of spring.
