Beygl, Park Slope

I got disoriented and lost in Prospect Park during the Mothers Day Duathlon and ended up taking an additional half hour to get onto 5th Avenue.

At Beygl, 291 5th Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets, there was no line out the door at just after 11am on a Sunday, but the pumpernickel bagels were gone for the moment and stroller moms were traffick-jamming the narrow aisle and banging into my cartilage-depleted left knee. My Nova Lox cream cheese on whole wheat arrived within a couple of minutes and was rapidly consumed. Very tasty. I also learned from my outdoor benchmate that he was taking his inflatable paddleboard, with its giant pump sticking out of the bag, to Red Hook to put into the water. I never had heard of such a thing.
