My Son the Doctor, Red Light Rodeo

After a quick Thirsty Thursday at Isley Brewing, it was time for a bike ride to see  My Son the Doctor, who played Yiddish, Romani and Balkan music.

Voices, acoustic guitars, percussion  and a fabulous clarinet player filling in the breaks to make me forget hip hop and dino rock. I picked up the tip basket and passed it around to make sure the band got their just rewards. It was definitely woth the short bike ride.

Then it was over to Garden Grove Brewing to see a wonderful traditional bluegrass/ honky tonk trio, Red Light Rodeo.

They played a nice tight set of bluegrass music with nicely integrated short solos.
