We visited Iron Duke Brewery in Ludlow, MA on the way to the Blue Sox game in Holyoke, MA.
I was looking for a lighter summery brew but selected the Wendy Peffercorn white rye, which was a little hoppier than I had expected. My second choice was the Dead Nuts American IPA, a reasonable beer of that flavor. My son enjoyed the flagship Baby Maker, irish porter, enjoyed by my son and a Rusty Horseshoe.
After enjoying the beers we took a short walk down East St, the Ludlow main drag, and were enticed by the smell of smoking meat into the Portuguese Galo Rei which offered a nice platter of bbq chicken, pork ribs, fries and rice datisfying hunger and meat cravings.
The gentlemen outside the nearby Polish American club had thriwn their support behind our decision.
