After an I-am-a-true-blue-American trip to the outlet mall for the end-of-the season sales, we pointed the car in the direction of old Williamsburg to find a place for dinner. The Blue Talon fit the bill as it was not as crowded as the spots closer to the shopping and, as a special bonus, was running Julia Child videos in heavy rotation.
We had a nice gazpacho, a leek tart and a pasta with asparagus along with a Vinho Verde wine. For dessert there was a nice lemon curd over goat cheese fruit tart.
After reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the Madeira wines on the menu seemed in order but in end the original thoughts of Grand Marnier and Port wine would have probably been tastier or fresher.
