After my maiden voyage on the partially completed Cap2Cap Trail (Richmond to Williamsburg, VA) was aborted due to a bridge blockaded due to construction, I returned to Richmond to check out RanchoT and its chef-driven Latin food.

Friendly bartender Jessica had all sorts of menu and drink suggestions (she has plans to visit Italy and Argentina during the grape harvest to further her knowlefe if wine). The pork shoulder (bean-free) chili soup combined with some of housemade screaming-hot habanero salsa/puree and tostada from yesterday’s tacos was delicious.

Coconut sopa almejas with housemade corn tacos was also delicious.

The beers were a little pricy but the recently renovated space had a nice ambience, including the train rail segments serving as footrests at the bar.
