We wandered around the small town of Swansboro on our way from Atlantic Beach to Carolina Beach, NC and happened upon the unassuming Boro Cafe on Front Street, adjacent the Icehouse Restaurant on the water.
Inside, there was a nice retro dining feel with red naugahyde booths, a lounge and a pastry display upfront.
It was a beautiful sunny late November Saturday so we sat outside and I had the grilled Bronzini salad special with beets, homemade Catalina dressing, goat cheese and lightly battered, pan fried fish.
The Bronzini had a delicate flavor reminiscent of a fresh water perch. Scrumptious. Definitely stop in if you are in the area.
