Roman wall, Gothic spire, Barcelona

I found a couple bits of the old Roman wall in the Barri Gótic. The first section is at the end of the street where I am staying and creates shade for the Plaça dels Traginers and the Café Babel. I had been here a handful of days and never noticed.

The second Roman wall piece I had also  walked past a number of  times and  wondered why people were taking pictures.

A fragment of a Roman aqueduct is in the left foreground and many builders through the centuries have been involved on this spot with a Gothic spire from the 14th century peaking out at the top.
