Rocoto peppers

Aftering surviving an insect attack indoors this past winter and growing faster than the attack this summer, our Peruvian rocoto peppers (Capsicum pubescens) are putting on bourgeois and gorgeous new purple blooms. 

Although not near as hot as thin fleshed ghost peppers or habanero peppers, the rocoto has a thicker flesh and better flavor according to my taste buds.

A great harvest this year.
