Rescue cantaloupe

I had rescued some volunteer cucurbits from the compost realizing that as hybrids they will not be true to the variety purchased in the store and have harvested a large cantaloupe that was ripe when green, had a very thin rind and relatively few seeds.

If this is like one of the parents of the hybrid, it would not ship well but sure was mighty delicious. There are two more cantaloupes trellised so it will be interesting to see if their fruits are different still.
