Sweet potatoes and eggs

I started out the week making a simple shakshouka with peppers and tomatoes followed by thinly sliced Russet Burbank potatoes and finished with thinly sliced sweet potatoes, each topped with a couple of eggs, for a nice breakfast.

Red wine and OJ too dense

I was making my simple sangria but did not quite add enough water so that the red wine maintained a neat layer on top of the orange juice of higher density.

Parsley for the swallowtails

Man those swallowtail larvae were hungry for their parsley, chewing it all up. It is the least we can do for the butterflies. The parsley is starting to grow back now.
